Great Parks has been able to continue reliable nature education programming through 2020–2021 thanks to a generous donation from the John A Schroth Family Charitable Trust, PNC Charitable Trust.

Great Parks’ nature education programming was significantly impacted during the pandemic, creating financial constraints and limiting staff and resources. Thanks to a grant from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation Great Parks has been able to bridge learning gaps and support school curriculum content with virtual programming.

Great Parks of Hamilton County announces the execution of a contract with the Greenacres Foundation to acquire a 22-acre site located on Werk Road in Westwood.

Great Parks of Hamilton County has started construction of the final extension and most significant section of the Little Miami Scenic Trail. A half-mile extension will allow trail users to safely travel from the Little Miami Scenic Trail to the Ohio River Trail for the first time.

Great Parks recognizes that the cost of admission to Highfield Discovery Garden can create a barrier for families. That is why Great Parks is now offering Ohio EBT/SNAP cardholders free admission to Highfield Discovery Garden.

Great Parks completed its first Comprehensive Master Plan in 2019, setting the organization’s vision over the next 10 years. As part of the process, Park and Facility Master Plans are being finalized, looking at each of the Great Parks in further detail.
