Protecting their wild spaces was on the minds of 149 volunteers who donned their exclusive ‘Protect Your Wild’ ball cap thank-you gifts, picked up gloves, trash, and recycle bags and spread throughout Winton Woods for Great Parks’ biggest service project of the year.

For us at Great Parks of Hamilton County, Earth Day comes down to three words: Protect Your Wild.

While green lawns are a big part of our culture, it’s worth considering how these altered landscapes add to water runoff patterns, which have proven to be detrimental to native biodiversity and human health.
