PGA Golf Manager Doug Stultz hosted a free golf clinic for Veterans at Meadow Links & Golf Academy on Thursday, April 24.

Coordinated through the Cincinnati VA Hospital, participants were given instruction on the use of the single-passenger SoloRider golf cart, full swing and putting. Veterans participating in the clinic included Dave Lowe (Air Force), Gary Schweikert (Army) and Mike Strikeleather (Army). For Mike, it was the first time he had ever hit a golf ball. Volunteer Tom Vogt also assisted with the program.

As a follow up to the clinic, Doug, a Marine Corps veteran, will provide ongoing, one-on-one instruction free of charge to the veterans who participate in the clinic. Keep an eye out as additional clinics are planned this year.
