Coloring Page: The ABCs of Ohio Plants & Animals | L

We’re giving you some fun coloring activities! Here, you’ll find a fun coloring sheet featuring the ABCs of Ohio’s native flora and fauna.

Eastern fence lizards (Sceloporus undulatus) are a member of the spiny lizard genus, meaning they have rough, pointed scales on their backs. Like most reptiles, eastern fence lizards prefer open forests where sunlight is available for basking.

Both male and female eastern fence lizards have gray or brown bodies, but you can distinguish them by their color variations. Females tend to be gray with a series of dark, wavy lines across the back. Male eastern fence lizards have bright, iridescent blue patches of scales along the throat and belly.
