Is It Spring Yet?
Golfers at Sharon Woods are chomping at the bit to get out and tee it up! On a chilly Monday morning in January, four brave souls teed it up in freezing temperatures. Thinking the cold and wind would be their only obstacles to overcome that day, they noticed flurries falling from the sky on the 5th hole. Little did they know what was in store for them! By the time they reached the 6th hole they felt like they were in the middle of a blizzard.
As they walked off the 6th green, which was completely covered in snow, one of them announced the match is all square after six! The players took a break from the quarter sized snowflakes and warmed up in the Pro Shop for a bit. With plenty of laughs going around the room, one player noticed that the snow had stopped. At that point the match was back on!
Armed with yellow golf balls and a broom to clear their path on the green, they were back at it! Not unlike the story in Caddyshack, as the players pressed on despite the elements, one had a great round playing the last four holes under par!
