Sharon Woods Bass League
Team Penderski won the May 8 Bass Fishing League tournament with a huge limit of 14.29 pounds! They also had the big fish of the evening with a 4.35 pound bass. As long as Curtis Pendergrass and Jody Andrzejewski (Team Penderski) catch a keeper on Wednesday’s tournament, they will bring home the grand prize of a $500 Bass Pro Shops shopping spree! Team Penderski has 118 of 120 possible points, and Team AJ’s is currently in second place with 98 points.

The last Sharon Woods Bass Fishing League tournament will be on Wednesday, May 15, at 6 p.m.

Winton Woods Panfish Cup
Eight teams entered the Panfish Cup tournament on May 4 at Winton Woods Lake. The winning team of Frank Yates and D.J. Huegel from Cincinnati caught approximately 56 pounds of crappie and bluegill on small jigs. Bill Smith and Del Meece finished in second place with 48 pounds. Scott Benjamin and Matt Benjamin finished third with 47 pounds.

The sixth tournament of the Panfish Cup series will be held at Winton Woods Lake on May 18.

More Monster Catfish at Miami Whitewater Forest!
Dave Whittle from White Oak caught at giant 22-pound flathead catfish on May 7. Dave used an ultra-light rod, six-pound test line and ¼ ounce Road Runner to catch the flathead.
