Celebrate 100 Years of Lawn Bowling in Cincinnati

All, From the Field

The Cincinnati Lawn Bowling Club (CLBC) celebrated the 100th season of lawn bowling in Cincinnati on Saturday, May 4, by hosting an open house for new and veteran players. More than 30 people came out to the club’s “home green” at the Little Miami Golf Center, and about half the crowd was first-timers.

From now through the end of October, the CLBC green is open Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. First timers are always welcome, and the first two games are free. The competitive, low-impact sport – with similarities to bocce ball – is a great way to get out, stay active and make new friends.

On Saturday, June 1, CLBC will host their first Members’ Tournament. The tournament is open to members, and those who have bowled at least once are welcome. The $5/person entrance fee includes refreshments and prizes.
