Prairie banana, wild banana, American custard apple, Appalachian banana, hillbilly mango – whatever you may call them, we’re pickin’ up pawpaws at Parky’s Farm with Nature Interpreter Eric!

As Ohio’s state fruit, pawpaws (Asimina triloba) go by many names and are a bit different than other fruits. For one, they attract pollinators like various blowflies, carrion beetles and zebra swallowtail butterflies. Pawpaws piqued your curiosity? Conservation & Parks Technician AJ shares more about them here. Color your own perfect pawpaw here.

Check out all past replays here.
