Great Parks Great Reading Recommendations

All, Stories

It may not be an official holiday, but September 6 is a holiday for bibliophiles: National Read a Book Day.

Of course, every day is a great day to read a book! But, in honor of this novel holiday and celebrating the remaining days of summer, here are favorites, classics and new reading recommendations from the Great Parks of Hamilton County team and The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County librarians. The best way to enjoy this holiday? By taking a new book outdoors, of course.

There's a Hair in My Dirt! A Worm's Story by Gary Larson

(P.S. — Did you know you can “check out” a Great Parks motor vehicle permit from your local library branch? Library cardholders can check out these permits one week at a time to visit any of our 21 parks and preserves. Just ask a librarian at your local branch when you go in to read these great book recommendations!)
