Join us on our Facebook page every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m. for a live video with Great Parks staff! We’ll have story time, take nature walks, meet ambassador animals and more. We’ll post replays here in case you miss one, and don’t hesitate to comment on past videos – we’ll keep answering questions in the comments!

Nature Interpreter Lisa is with us at the Shaker Trace Wetlands at Miami Whitewater Forest. Why are winter visitors like birds drawn to wetlands? Check out the video below as we learn what wetlands do for Hamilton County’s ecosystem and why certain animals love this habitat so much.

If you’re interested in visiting this bird blind, it’s located off the Shaker Trace Trail Outer Loop, in the northern end of Miami Whitewater Forest near Baughman Road.
