Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course hosted the Ohio High School Southwest Ohio Sectional golf tournament on Wednesday, October 7. Fourteen teams competed for a chance to advance to the District tournament, which will be played at Weatherwax Golf Course on October 15. Teams and individuals advance at the District Tournament will play at The Ohio State University Golf Course later this month.

St. Xavier placed first with a team score of 297. Elder and LaSalle tied for second at 299, and Hamilton qualified at fourth with a team score of 321.

In addition, low score individual golfers not advanced because of team score also qualified to play in the District tournament: Terry Creech (Fairfield), Daniel Bischel (Harrison), Max Broxterman (Walnut Hills), Charlie Winkler (Talawanda).
