On Friday, August 1, The Vineyard Golf Course at Woodland Mound hosted the Southern Ohio PGA/Greater Cincinnati Golf Association Pro-Am matches. This event pairs local PGA golf professionals against some of the best amateur golfers in the Cincinnati area.

Players were paired up and competed in an 18-hole better-ball format in the morning and an 18-hole modified alternate shot format in the afternoon. Each match was worth three points (front nine, back nine and the overall). Several Great Parks’ golf professionals competed (Sam Arnold, Tom Bach, Mike Thomas and Dennis Wells) along with Great Parks’ employee Andy Collins, who was one of 16 amateur players competing. In the end, the golf professionals prevailed with 29 points compared to 19 points for the amateurs.
