All, Parks at Home for Kids

Welcome to Parks@Home, our hub for nature activities you can do in your own home!

The Parks@Home series provides fun and educational activities, crafts, videos and more that parents and nature lovers can engage in from the comfort of their own homes.

Great Parks of Hamilton County’s parks, trails and other outdoor facilities remain open, but our programs and events have been canceled for an indefinite period in light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

The Parks@Home program is in response to the recent school and business closures, leaving several residents confined to their homes. “We know many of our residents are at home with children due to school closures,” says Todd Palmeter, CEO of Great Parks of Hamilton County. “This is one way we can help ease some stress during this crisis.”

Palmeter adds that Great Parks of Hamilton County parks are open, although all onsite programming and activities have been canceled.

“Our parks are open and we invite people to come out and enjoy our trails,” says Palmeter. “But if you can’t come to the parks, we want to bring them to you. The Parks@Home program is designed to provide conservation and nature education to residents where they are.”

The Parks@Home programming is located here on the Great Parks of Hamilton County blog, and much of the content will also be posted on Great Parks’ social media channels.
